Here's how I went from frustrated with my soft and stocky body to a physique that was "impossible for my genetics."

 

I stared at my phone screen, pissed off in a quiet rage. Another fitness program ad featuring some dude with perfect abs promising that his program was the best. Yeah, right. 

I wouldn’t have said any of this out loud, but I was sick of seeing this bullshit pedalled around.

I had been boxing and bodybuilding for over a decade, done everything from Crossfit to P90X to powerlifting, and my build was ‘stocky’ and ‘soft’ no matter how much I busted my ass.

 

But when my niece was born terminally ill, I called in every favor I had from doctors, scientists, and medical experts in my network. I dug into nutrition science like I never had before, looking in places I had never paid attention to.

I sunk my teeth into every scrap of medical research published in the last 50 years about severe illness and nutrition, and what I found blew me away. 

 

Deep below layers of Google results, scientific journals, clinical studies, and mainstream medical recommendations was a corner of human biology that led me to results I had never heard about before.

 I called every international medical expert I knew and asked each of them the same thing: ‘Why isn’t this information more known? I’ve been studying health and fitness for years.’ And I always got the same answer: No one wants this research to be read.

For the first time, I saw behind the curtain of exactly how and where money drives the media and intentionally misleads people about their health to sell profitable pseudoscience. Any research that can be used to make money will be funded over and over again while the research that can change lives but isn’t monetizable gets buried in a corner, never to see the light of day.

I had spent years thinking my body couldn’t look the way I wanted, but then I thought:

What if I didn’t have bad genes? What if I just had bad information?

 

Part of me was furious, feeling like I’d been tricked and lied to, but another part of me was more excited than I had ever been because I had new hope. I might have what I needed to optimize my biology in ways I previously considered impossible.

I had tried everything else and had nothing to lose, so I took what I had learned and started experimenting on myself. 

 

I kept a log and ran all of my experiments like a mad scientist. I started seeing results within a few DAYS, and it fueled my excitement even more. Six weeks in, I felt like a fucking superhero. Three months in, I had done what my friends were jokingly calling ‘magic.’ I was working out less, eating more, and running around with a visible six pack at all times.

I woke up every day in disbelief. 

 

Let me be clear: not everything I tried worked, and the experimentation process was grueling. I had to dedicate myself to trials and tactics that required me to break habits I had built through my entire adult life. This is easier said than done, no matter how tough you are. In fact, the tougher you are, the more resistance your mind can give you. Trust me, my old habits went kicking and screaming.

I had to go back to the basics and re-learn things that I considered simple and unimportant. I had to force my mind to accept a new operating system.

For every ‘ah-ha!’ moment I had, there was a corresponding doubt from my old way of thinking: “Nothing has worked before. All of this progress will eventually back slide. At some point I will hit a wall and this will have been a waste.” But I didn’t hit a wall. I kept progressing. Day after day, it got easier and better.

I went from avoiding beach invitations to confidently going on walks around the park without a shirt on. My mind began to settle into the inevitable conclusion that this had actually worked.

 

I decided to squash the last glimpses of my doubts once and for all by taking my best, most successful experiments and using them on my friends and clients.

I invited 42 men from ages 26 to 67 to participate in the same tactical biology methods I had used on myself. I spent every waking hour of my life for six months cataloguing their patterns, behaviors, and results. I was only interested in maintaining the tactics that (a) worked on every single body, no matter their starting weight or age, and (b) could be replicated easily with benefits that outweighed the effort input by 10:1.

I knew I had an opportunity to overturn an entire category of one-sided, mass media “science” and give people unbelievable proof all at once.

 

I started with 30 experiments, beginning with the ones that had gotten me the fastest personal results. Eight out of the 30 experiments only worked on about half of my volunteers, so those were out. Two were too complicated for people to stick to and track effectively. Seven achieved results that I considered to be good, but not great. I wanted only the best.

What I was left with was 13 easy, scientifically proven, low effort, high output human biology hacks for the perfect male body that work on everyone.

 

I have since developed these 13 biology hacks into a 90 day program that I’ve been using with one on one clients for years and they have worked their magic on hundreds of guys.

Most of my clients have an existing background in athletics of some kind, but I’ve used this program to kick start muscle gains and fat loss in everyone from retired professional athletes to ex-military family men to nomadic business owners to 100-hour work week finance executives. THE OLD MODEL

The old, mainstream model is all about doing more while achieving less.

 

The old model is intentionally confusing, with 'scientific findings' that conveniently support whatever new fitness craze or diet trend or pharmaceutical drug is being pushed.

You are told that if you work out hard enough, cut the right amount of [calories/carbs/insert dietary trend here], your body will burn fat and gain muscle. So you hustle and sweat and bust your ass and hustle some more.
